Iran and Tajikistan’s officials have signed two documents for cooperation at the closing ceremony of the 16th intergovernmental committee session held in Dushanbe, the Tajik capital.
Iran’s Minister of Energy Ali Akbar Mehrabian and Tajikistan's Minister of Energy and Water Resources Daler Juma chaired the closing ceremony of the event on Thursday.
In addition to signing two documents for cooperation, the two sides also inked a memorandum of understanding for holding a training course in the fields of water.
The main topics addressed in the the 16th intergovernmental committee session in Dushanbe were “Electrical communication between Iran and Tajikistan”, “Sangtuda 2 Hydroelectric Power Plant”, “Anzob Tunnel”, “Rogun Dam Project”, and “Iran’s readiness to implement water and electricity projects in Tajikistan”.
The previous committee session of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Tajikistan was held in Tehran on December 5-6, 2022.
