Lawmakers in the Iranian parliament have approved a plan that facilitates importing cruise ships in a bid to further develop tourism industry.
Chaired by Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the open session of Iranian parliament was held on Sunday to continue the review of the 7th Development Plan.
According to Clause B, Article 83 of the 7th Development Plan, the necessary license for the import of cruise ships, recreational vessels, vehicles and special tourism equipment for the investors of the private and cooperative sectors of the applicant with the exemption of entry fees by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts in compliance with the legal authority of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development will be issued.
