Vahid Jalalzadeh, the chairman of Iran’s Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, has urged Islamic countries participating in the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) to prevent the formation of a European consensus against the Resistance front.
Jalalzadeh made these remarks during a meeting in Doha, Qatar, with Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, the Speaker of the host country’s Shura Council.
He expressed gratitude towards the Qatari government and parliament for their support of the Palestinian people, who have been engaged in conflict with Zionists since Hamas’ unprecedented operation against the Israeli regime on October 7.
Furthermore, Jalalzadeh appreciated Qatar’s constructive cooperation in facilitating the release of Iranian nationals in the United States and the unfreezing of assets in South Korea.
The Qatari official emphasized the importance of supporting oppressed Palestinians and ensuring that residents of Gaza are not taken hostage and deprived of basic necessities.
At the end of the meeting, a written message from the Iranian Majlis Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf about the recent developments in the region was presented to the Qatari Shura speaker.
